every version of PT (or any software) uses more resources, thus less processing power available for plugs. new features come at a cost

Except this version was billed as allowing you to run more instances of RTAS plug ins and billed as being "a faster, more responsive, and more powerful workstation" and and having "improved host processing efficiency". Oh well.

I griped about serious bugs expected in 7.0 in another thread.... If the above message from Digi is genuine, it would only confirm my suspicions. Anyone know why the company did their big 7.0 rollout/media campaign when they didn't have the actual product squared away? J.D
