can this be displayed in an item?

say i have a 4 min stereo file - and i chop it up into many items is it possible to display in the items labels where the start\end points are in relation to the original file for example say the file is called "gwok lives to ruin threads" then i chop it up at different points could i see something like this gwok lives to ruin threads - 00:23 - 00:56 gwok lives to ruin threads - 01:33 - 02:23 tx -

All I can think of ... which isn't what you're really asking, in fact it's not what you're asking at all ... is you can use Item Properties of each item to rename it, but it won't pick up times by itself, you have to type them in manually (or copy/paste from properties box) which of course is cheating and anyway won't change by itself when, say, you move the item. :( Oh dear, I wish I'd just kept quiet now ....

What you can do of course is to use an external audio-editor which supports this.
